The Florida Sheriffs Association presented this certificate of appreciation to Consumer Energy Solutions for a Drug Free World for their work to defeat Proposition 2, which would have legalized medical marijuana in the state. We follow Scientology front groups closely, but this is a new one on us. We know the Foundation for a Drug Free World, which has largely taken over from Narconon as the drug education arm of Scientology. We also know Consumer Energy Solutions, a Clearwater based company that works in deregulated states to assist businesses in finding less expensive electricity suppliers.

Patrick Clouden is involved in The Foundation for a Drug Free World, Applied Scholastics, the World Literacy Crusade, and in a letter to the St. Petersburg Times on January 16, 2000, Clouden wrote in opposition to the Lisa McPherson Trust in Clearwater, and its founder, Bob Minton. “I would never ask Minton for help or advice on ethics. That would be like asking Hitler about the Jewish religion.” |
Jim Mathers (pronounced MAY-thurs) is also involved in drug education, as well as The Way to Happiness, but is best known around the world for his work with WISE – The World Institute of Scientology Enterprises. He received a special recognition at the 2014 Model of Admin Know-How awards, and he is a frequent speaker at WISE conventions on the Freewinds, in Russia, Mexico and Taiwan. |
