Scientology will be participating in a forum to educate the public about methamphetamine use in the Bakersfield, CA area. From an article in local newspaper The Daily Independent.
The informational forum is taking place on Jan. 5 in Bakersfield and will update the public on the coalition and its impact on methamphetamine in Kern County. Coalition members will be on hand to answer questions and talk about future plans.
“We would like to fill the place,” Kern County Coordinator of Foundation for a Drug-Free World Vicki Rizzardini said. As such, she is volunteering to act as a point of contact anyone needing help with carpooling. She asks interested people to call her at 760-382-1311. “If we could get enough people to fill the room from Ridgecrest that would be a good thing. Let’s come together as a community and do something.”
The forum will take place in the Board of Supervisors Chambers at 1115 Truxtun Avenue in Bakersfield and “is intended to provide information to the Kern County Board of Supervisors and the public about the Coalition’s impact on methamphetamine in Kern County, and the next steps to stopping the effects of meth in our county,” according to a press release from Supervisor Mick Gleason.
